What the platform keeps

For a student: surname, first name, email address, school, programme, level, city, deposited texts and files. For a professional: name, email address, organisation. For any visitor: a non-identifying technical fingerprint, used only to avoid counting the same view twice in a day.

What is public

A portfolio is only visible once the student has made it public, and a project once moderation has approved it. A student's email address is never shown nor passed on: messages go through a form, and the address is only revealed if the student replies themselves.

Retention

Contact messages are kept for twelve months. View statistics are aggregated by day and cannot be traced back to a person. Deleting an account deletes its profile, its projects and its files.

Hosting

The database and the files are hosted with Infomaniak Network SA, in data centres located in Switzerland. No data is passed to a third party for advertising or analytics.

Your rights

You can view, correct, export or have your data deleted by writing to contact@africancitiesjunior.org.
